The changing seasons bring on new possibilities and opportunities. School is up and running, and our young ones need to know that they can rely on the older and wiser ones. Sometimes it feels like it may not make a difference to show up for our kids, students, neighbors, but this is our future, and it's important to make kids feel worth it. School is not always a place that youth feel successful, and knowing exciting holidays are around the corner, it may bring feelings of being overwhelmed. With challenges doing the work, making friends, playing sports and getting involved with activities, and the social pressures of fitting in, it's important to check in with our youngsters to, if nothing else, make them feel that they belong.
